Obituary: The Tecumseh Herald Vol. 132 NO. 3 Thursday, August 19, 1982 (front page) Obituary: Services for Businessman Services were held Saturday at the Purse Funeral Home in Tecumseh for Carl J Clark, 58, of 216 E. Chicago Blvd. He died Aug 12 in Herick Hospital. Mr Clark was born Aug 26, 1923, in Kenton, Ohio, to Carl and Georia (Sheldon) Clark. He was a resident of Tecumseh for 41 years, and for the past 17 years he owned and operated Carl's Radio and TV in Tecumseh. Prior to that he worked for 17 years at Drigg's Dairy. Mr Clark was an avid bowler and golfer, and a Navy veteran of WWII, having served on the USS Claymore. He served in North Africa, Casa Blanca, Algiers, and Oran. He was chauffeur for Adm. Yates. He is survived by his wife Isabel; five daughters, Mrs Jerry (Diane) Wilson, Onsted, Mrs Tom (brenda) LaBean, Gaylord, Mrs Linda Caryle Strand, Tecumseh, Mrs. Ron (Charlene) Brown, Springville (Onsted), and Mrs Garry (Marsha) Guenther, Brooklyn, on son, John Clark, Brooklyn; one sister, Mrs Ralph (Delores) Lauer, Onsted; three brothers, Dennis Clark, Adrian, George Clark, Manitou Beach, and Larry Clark, Clarklake; 24 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three granddaughters. the Tecumseh American Legion and Oakley Myers officiated the service. Burial was in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh.
